What is Penthrox?

Penthrox is an inhaled pain reliever used to reduce discomfort during medical or cosmetic procedures like Morpheus 8 and Morpheus8V. It induces a mild sedative effect and blocks pain perception, thus reducing pain sensations and making discomforting procedures more tolerable. 

How does Penthrox work?

Penthrox is inhaled via a hand-held inhaler, which is prepared and administered by your healthcare provider. by breathing through a hand-held inhaler, administered by a healthcare professional. Relief will start after approximately 6-10 breaths. If you need stronger pain relief during treatment, you will be advised to take breaths from the inhaler as needed. 

Does Penthrox Hurt?

No, Penthrox does not cause any pain or discomfort. 

When will I see results and how long will they last?

Penthrox provides a rapid onset of action after a few breaths. It continues to last in between breaths and after the maximum dose is taken, though it is a quick recovery. You will need to wait 10-15 minutes post procedure to allow the effects to fully wear off. 

Is Penthrox Safe?

 Penthrox is a safe pain reliever to use. Do not drive or operate machinery while taking Penthrox; you will be required to wait 10-15 minutes after a procedure before driving or operating heavy machinery. Ask your healthcare provider if Penthrox is an option for you.
