What is Intense Pulse Light (IPL)?

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is the latest technology used to target pigmented and vascular lesions. At Revive Cosmetic Clinic, we use the Lumecca device by InMode; the most powerful IPL technology to improve skin irregularities for a brighter and younger complexion.

How does the procedure work?

Lumecca uses photothermolysis that provides a photofacial through the delivery of light treatment. This allows Lumecca to improve the appearance of age spots (red/brown hyperpigmentation), vascular lesions (including spider veins and poikiloderma), rosacea, freckles, and sun damage on any area of the body. The most common areas are often the zones that are regularly exposed to the sun (the face, neck, decolletage, legs, hands, and arms).

Does IPL hurt?

IPL is a safe, gentle and effective procedure. During treatment, you can expect a sensation on the skin similar to a light snap from an elastic band.

When will I see results and how long will they last?

Visible results can be seen within a few days post treatment, but the skin will continue to improve and look brighter and more youthful over-time. The most visible results are typicall seen after 1-2 weeks, and multiple sessions will imfrove the final result. Depending on the treatment regimen, severity of skin damage, and skin goals, 3 sessions may be recommended for optimal results. Further sessions can be assessed for at later times.
